Family Ties

Happy New Year to You all…. May the New Year bring in happiness to you and all that…

It’s been quite some time since I blogged. What better way to bring in the New Year than having a new story? So here goes…..

There was this family of 3 people. They were very devout Catholics. They observed Prayer times, said grace before food and prided themselves on not missing even 1 Mass ceremony on Sundays. The daughter was a very sweet child. She was always very cheerful and was loved by all. “She is God’s gift to you both” were the common comments her parents heard and they too were very happy. In short they were a small but happy family

When she grew up, she decided that she would take up medicine and joined a good institute. Her cheerful nature brought her a lot of friends and in the course of time, she started to develop a liking for a good friend of hers, John Christ. He too reciprocated the feeling and they started going around. Both of them decided to tell their respective family. Both their families were very happy and their marriage was fixed after their Graduation

Mrs. Christ was very much loved by her parents-in-law and all their relatives. She settled very comfortably into his family and started on her family life. Time went by and she had 2 kids, a son and a daughter. She never lost her cheerful nature though. But things started to change when her cousin had a child. People started avoiding her. They did not call on her anymore. She went into depression and was avoided even more. She couldnt understand what was going on.

But why did this happen??

Because when her cousin gave birth, she became “Aunty” Christ
